Our story started almost 20 years ago in 2003 when we opened our first location at Het Boshuis in the Netherlands and Manor Farm in the UK. Since then, we have expanded to 57 locations throughout the UK and Europe – Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland and have welcomed many guests. At Feather Down, we believe in simplicity and being able to go back to basics without sacrificing luxury and comfort. When it comes to luxury we don’t mean an HD TV or an air-conditioned room – but many other amenities you would expect from a nice hotel room and providing you with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious lodges. With the combination of our need for modern comfort and your craving to be close to nature, you will experience a wonderful time on our farms.

We believe in an eco-friendly holiday where there are sustainable elements incorporated into our concept and therefore do not have electricity on site. We are all about getting back to the simpler times away from technology, getting the family together, and to reconnect with nature! Can’t live without your devices? Just wait, we know from experience that you won’t even remember you had a phone! Children become real adventurers and go on a discovery tour of the farm. They get up early to pick freshly laid eggs for breakfast and relax and unwind to the sound of nature while the kids run along the meadows and end the day by roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Your home away from home

You’ll experience a mix of the British countryside with the comfort of your home in a spacious, comfortable rustic style lodge. Beautifully situated in tranquility and peace, your life in the countryside will be guided by nature. In the morning you will wake up to the sound of the farm animals, during the day the ladybirds will accompany you and at night you will gaze upon the starry night. Enjoy the ambiance of the elegant lamps and candlelight-lit evenings, kept toasty by the warmth of the wood-burning stove. Very picture worthy if we say ourselves!

No stress of putting up a tent, a leaky air mattress, or having to walk across the campsite with a toilet roll under your arm. Our interior consists of a fully equipped kitchen, rustic sitting and dining area, sofa, and bedrooms with real beds! High-quality mattresses, pillows, and fluffy duvets! The children’s favourite place to sleep is the Cupboard bed, where they would end the night talking about their new adventures on the farm before a good night’s sleep.
